Director's View |
Fall is upon us, with clear days and cool nights, glorious colors, and sweater weather. Growing up near Arthur Hill, you knew it was fall when you heard the roar of the stadium on Friday nights. You knew it was fall when walking to school, your shoes were covered in crunchy leaves so thick you couldn't see your feet. Now, you know it is fall when the coffee shops offer pumpkin flavored beverages and the pop-up costume shops appear on busy intersections. We know it is fall in the library when kids start coming in after school again, when book reports start coming due, and when there is a spike in our online resources for homework research.
Enjoy your fall traditions, and make the library one of them. Check out a book in house or download one online and cozy up with your warm beverage snug in your own home. Or, make sure you have reading material from the library handy in your car while you wait to pick your kids up from practice. It is a great time to "fall" into a good book!
