DIRECTOR'S REPORT
"I love books. I love that moment when you open one and sink into it so you can escape from the world, into a story that is way more interesting than yours will ever be." Elizabeth Scott
This holiday season, give the gift of a book. It makes you look smart and thoughtful and it will elevate the recipient to a level that no other gift can. There - all of your shopping for the hard-to-buy-for is suddenly finished. And if you purchase through our website, we get a small percentage. Don't you wish everything this season was that easy and stress free?
May your holiday season be calm and full of joy.
Trish Burns, Director, Public Libraries of Saginaw

Meaningful Gifts | |
To make the holiday season more meaningful for your family, spend time discussing topics like what are you most grateful for? How can we make the world a better place? What is your favorite holiday memory?
Plan a kind deed day, and see who can perform the most random acts of kindness.
Make community service and helping those less fortunate part of your family holiday activities.
Give gifts from the heart:
~ Write a personal note and leave it where a family member can find it.
~ Write a story or poem and share it with your family. Or...paint a picture.
~ Make a book of all the reasons you are grateful for a loved one in your life.
Slow down and enjoy the holidays. Make this time of wonder and reverence a time to discover the true meaning of the holidays.
