diocese signWelcome!
Welcome to the June edition of E-vangelist, a monthly E-Newsletter from the Communications Office of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. Summer is upon us, and hopefully that means a time of rest and relaxation. There is no shortage of activities in our Diocesan Church in the coming weeks and months. We invite everyone to observe the Fortnight for Freedom as we strive to protect our precious religious liberty. We also extend an invitation to join us for Faith Day at DelGrosso's Amusement Park in Tipton as we celebrate our Catholic faith. Read more about these events and others in this edition of E-vangelist. May God bless us during these summer days.

Prayer of Saint Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
