Awareness Month special.... it's not long now!!
Most of this information is the same as we said in last month's E-ComMenT, but it's worth repeating.....
ANYTHING you can do to help us spread the word helps in our longer term goals of making the world a more CMT-friendly place!

In the Media
We still need people, especially those who have been really impacted by their CMT, to share their stories with the media. If you could help, PLEASE PLEASE complete a case study form, available to download here or http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NS8GSXSIn particular, Paula would like to hear from mothers/daughters with CMT. You can also email her direct at paula@cmtuk.org.uk if you have any concerns or questions.

Awareness Month Logo
We have also had some square badges made up with this exact design on them 
So if you would like one (or more!), go to the CMT webshop at www.cmt.org.uk/webshop.php and go to the Awareness category. They are £2.25 each, plus 60p P&P (if that's all you buy!)

Don't forget to use this logo as your Facebook profile for September, and encourage as many of your friends as possible to do the same. It's just a small thing, but you'd be surprised how much awareness spreads using social media!

What Else Can you Do?
HOLD a Cake Muffin and Tea Party - raise funds and awareness by inviti ng friends and colleagues to indulge in a cuppa and something sweet. You can find all the information you need at www.cmt.org.uk/Teaparty.php. You can download invites and whatnot from there, or you can request a pack from the office.
Distribute flyers or posters to your local clinics - either hospital or GP or your podiatrist, physiotherapist or anywhere else you can think of!  This is the latest version of the Awareness Month flyer - you can download a .pdf version, set up to print 2 on a sheet from here (Don't forget to select "fit to paper" when you print this - it's actually scaled for two A4 on an A3 piece of paper, but will reduce nicely to fit A4)  Did anyone other than Shelagh spot the deliberate mistake on the previous version of the Awareness Poster? It was missing "Marie" from the name of the condition!! Oooops!! You can download the correct one from here!The Awareness Kits are also selling well - we've added a collecting box to the pack as well - might as well maximise fundraising potential - buy from the webshop!  SPECIAL DISCOUNT!
For the month of September ONLY - if you use the code "AWARE" when you check out at the webshop, you'll get a 15% discount!! So it'll be a great time to buy your Christmas Cards and awareness goodies. Don't try to be sneaky and try it before 1st September, it'll only work between 1st and 30th September!
