Our 2013 Downtown Tour Season kicks off in April! Our tours are a fantastic way for local residents and visitors alike to learn new things about our city and neighborhoods, and to explore the rich history and culture of Seattle's built environment. The 2013 tour schedule is now available on our website. Reserve your spot today!

To celebrate our Tour Season launch, we have a special
3 for $30 promotion. You can choose any three of our architecture walking tours for $30. This promotion ends on April 8, 2013, and all tours must be redeemed by the end of 2013. Limit two per household.

Want a taste of what our tours offer? Take a free Greatest Hits tour led by our 2013 Tour Guide Trainees as part of their Guide Instruction. You help our trainees do a practice tour run, and in turn, you get to learn more about the iconic buildings that make up Seattle's skyline. Space is limited.

Teens Shape Seattle!

Designing Your City 
Where do you go in the city to have fun outside? What would your dream park look like? Build your own Pop-Up Park model. Envision and design a new Seattle Waterfront! The goal of this interactive program is to inspire teens to develop connections between design, architecture and art and to get involved in shaping our urban and community spaces.
Presented in partnership with Waterfront Seattle and The Seattle Department of Transportation.

Youth Solving Social Issues Through Design

Special Event in Partnership with the Sammamish Arts Commission 
Community centers provide opportunities for residents to gather to host a variety of functions. The Sammamish Arts Commission invites youth to come together to investigate, plan and build models that envision what their new community center should look like. Teens and pre-teens will have the opportunity to work with architects and design professionals on this real world proposition, and voice their opinion about the design of their community center.

Join architecture historian and UW professor, Jeffrey Karl Ochsner in a fascinating overview of 125 years of Seattle architectural history in two lectures, beginning at about 1880 through to the present day. The lectures will explore the broad architectural and urban developments; a range of building types and stylistic directions; and major architects who shaped the architecture of the city and region.
