Grief as a
Mystical Journey:
Sacred Practices for
Turning Loss into Light
A FREE experiential workshop
for bereaved individuals
and bereavement professionals
If you are mourning the death of a loved one or a loss of any kind (including divorce, job loss, pet loss or any transformational shift), please join us in a rare learning environment that provides effective healing tools not found in traditional counseling or support group settings.
This presentation will lead you toward deeper healing by helping you focus on internal transformation rather than external events, and will provide practical techniques for transmuting trauma and grief into new forms of love, acceptance and spiritual awareness.
Through guided meditations, heart-opening group exercises, art therapy and sacred ceremony, you will learn to embrace a sacred perspective in which grief is viewed as a gift of growth rather than a meaningless tragedy.

Interfaith/Interspiritual Conversations
with the Dying and the Bereaved
Chaplains, nurses,
social workers, volunteers, physicians and caregivers... Please join us for an
extraordinary presentation!
As compassionate professionals and devoted family members, we may at times be invited into conversations with patients or family members that addresses religious views on death and the afterlife.
Meeting people "where they are" in terms of belief systems is a delicate art that requires patience, wisdom and skill. How do we offer compassionate listening and support for beliefs that may not resonate with our own? How can we honor the other person's reality fully and lovingly, without imposing our own views and biases?
This presentation will include an interactive "role play" process for practicing pastoral conversations. Sponsored by
Saturday, April 2, 10 am - noon 602 East Montecito Street,
