North Shore Dojo

Greetings!

North Shore Dojo is a second home to many of our children and we would like all of the dojo families to feel welcome and know that this is our "safe" place. Our kids are accepted here no matter their abilities and are expected to excel and work hard to achieve their goals. Families are very important here and we want everyone who comes to the dojo to experience what a special place it is.  Our newsletter has been created to facilitate communication of all that is going on and to give us a place to highlight the dojo athletes achievements!

Our next Parent Association will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 9:30am (we'll continue through the 10:30 class so we talk with parents of both classes) at the Dojo. If you are interested in joining us please email kathleen@nibblesplaycafe.com.

A Little Bit of Info about the Dojo:
Knowing what behavior is expected can be confusing, especially when joining a new organization and meeting a new group of people, so here's a few tips on understanding some of those unwritten rules that take forever to learn"

  • Please do wear your shoes when you are on the bleachers but remove your shoes if you are going to walk across the mats.
  • Drinks in the refrigerator are available for everyone - please leave a dollar on top of the fridge to help cover costs
  • Younger siblings, grandparents, pets are all welcome to attend on the bleachers - please supervise your children, use quiet- "indoor" voices so classes are not disturbed. Families are welcome to be in the little upstairs dojo when it is not in use.
  • Bathrooms are in the locker rooms
  • Kids are encouraged to bring their homework and can work in the dojo "library" if they've got some time to wait before, between or after classes
