The Insider thinks many of us (The Insider included) take the internet for granted. At any time, we can hop on the world wide web at work and home from our desktops, laptops, phones, watches, TVs (you get the idea).  When we talk about access, we are not referring to getting on the super highway, but once on -- how fast can we go.  But, what if we lived in a place where access was not guaranteed?  Enter Google's Project Loon.

Google's Project Loon is a network of balloons traveling on the edge of space, designed to connect people in rural and remote areas, help fill coverage gaps, and bring people back online after disasters.  It is smart people and smart technology attempting something amazing. 

 

The importance of this project struck The Insider when watching Google's promotional video. I think we would all agree the internet (information) is powerful and shouldn't everyone have access to this power.
