I send this Antiques Insider several times a year to let you know about my shows and sales, and occasionally, events I think you might like. Hope you enjoy it, but please feel free to unsubscribe if you prefer. Below I have some photos of just a few of the interesting things I'll have at the Antique Elegance Show September 20th-21st, but first I want to let you know about a great new object among several I've just added at my space and in my showcases at
Forestwood Antique Mall
It's a gorgeous Jane Hutchinson piece from
her early-1970 to mid-1980s series "Fleurs des Siecles" for Gorham. Beautiful enough, for sure, to appear at the Antique Elegance Show, but just a little too young, it falls into the category of things fine and timeless enough to be considered antiques of the future.
This Hutchinson piece is one of the largest in the series at sixteen inches tall. It is an arrangement of leaves and husk flowers inspired by 18th century Sevres porcelain, in a creamy white Paris porcelain reproduction cornucopia and rams head vase with touches of gold decoration. Each leaf is individually enameled on gold plated metal and attached to a gold plated wire. This allows the leaves to move in the slightest breeze to produce a soft musical sound. En tremblant as the French say. This piece is in my showcase behind the checkout desk. Go check it out if you have a chance!
Below you'll find pictures of some of my merchandise for the upcoming Antique Elegance Show. More pictures on my website
