Stars of my little part of the fabulous big show include a pair of Chinese ivory carvings mounted and framed circa 1960-- really unusual and so mid-century elegant.

featured expert on white stoneware, my friend and long-time neighbor at this show, Linda Wilder.
Boyd|Blomeyer Estate Sale
Jackie Boyd and I are excited to tell you we are working on another special estate sale.
The centerpiece of this sale will be some truly wonderful works of art, including several paintings by Iacob Brujan, a family friend of the heirs of the estate, also a Konstintin Alexandrovich Trutkovsky Russian genre painting, and a gorgeous large antique oil painting from the Romantic period, titled "After the Bath" after Paul Peel,
in a magnificent frame. The original is in the National Gallerie of Canada. Another copy of this painting was auctioned successfully by Christie's in South Kensington in 2008. This painting came into this sale estate in the 1950s, purchased from the 80-year-old widow of an Austro-Hungarian lord, killed when the Communists came to power.  | |

Also from this estate recently brought from Romania, is high quality c. 1940 art deco period dining and bedroom furniture, custom made for the estate by German craftsmen. There is a charming enameled cook stove and oven that is designed to use wood, gas or both. Plus a few choice vintage fashions, and more. We're pleased to offer some of the most treasured belongings this family of a European art dealer whose successful business continued through communist rule and after. (See pictures below.)
