Greetings!

It is so magical when community comes together! Living Earth Festival in Mullumbimby proved that last Sunday, starting off with a parade through the town and later thousands of people explored the Mullumbimby Community Gardens, enjoying the sunshine and activities throughout the day.

Next event to experience the beauty of community is in October @ the Boomerang Festival and of course do not forget Xavier Rudd at the YAC on the 7th of October.

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Maxine Caron for her energy, enthusiasm and support over the last 13 years as a valued member on our Management Committee. We will miss you!

MULLUM NEWS

'Four groups are going well and doing lots of different activities at the Cottage in Mullumbimby.
Groups have had information sessions on being enterprising and setting up
their own business.
We are currently doing sessions on sexual health for all groups with the sexual health workers from NCAHS HEALTH,
which have been fun and giving lots of useful info around safe sex, assessing risk and STIs.
The girls have also had a session identifying strengths and looking at womanhood myths and how they relate
to the modern world with Teeya Blatt.
We have also done some sessions on being enterprising (for the girls),
pilates and core strength work and being creative with art, while the boys have been doing some fitness
training, stress release and looking at healthy lifestyle info.
The Year 9 girls have nearly completed their work on their emotion boxes, see below.'
