Hoe, Heaven, and Hell: My Boyhood in Rural New Mexico, by Nasario García, won the Fabiola Cabeza de Baca Award for an outstanding publication relating to domestic life in New Mexico. 
A Civil War History of the New Mexico Volunteers and Militia, by Jerry D. Thompson, won the Fray Francisco Atanasio Domínguez Award for an outstanding publication or significant contribution to historic survey and research in New Mexico or Southwest borderlands history.
