 Dear ,
I write this message to you from my hotel in Cocoa Beach, Florida, while on tour with the Hollywood Concert Orchestra. We are performing 11 concerts over three weeks, and so far the first 5 concerts have averaged 1000 people each. What a "rush" it is when you sense a connected and passionate arts consumer sitting behind you. It restores one's faith that there are true music lovers out there.
Next Friday, Director "Uncle" Wayne Daigrepont works his comic magic in our latest production in Teatro Wego with The Amorous Ambassador. This work by Michael Parker, playwright of last season's smash hit, Sex Please We're Sixty, opens next Friday, February 19. Believe me, you will leave the theatre laughing so hard you just might return for a second helping.
Mary Poppins will be the grandest and most expensive production in our history. Our staff has designed and is building a most impressive and large scale set. We have imported a special props master from Pittsburgh to work all of the special magic, and the super "flying" effects by ZFX will drop your jaw. Micah Desonier who has previously starred as Eliza Doolittle in our season opener, My Fair Lady, returns in the title roll. Bryce Slocumb, previously seen in Sister Act is Bert, Mary's friend. Get your tickets now as this blockbuster is selling fast.
Well, I have to get back on the bus for our next gig tonight. Remember to pray for our uniformed protectors of all job descriptions, for it is their sacrifices which allow musicians like myself to traverse this great country and make music. Stop them when you see them, and just say "Thanks for your service", and watch a surprised smile come across their faces.
Sincerely,
Dennis G. Assaf

The Amorous Ambassador
by Michael Parker
Directed by "Uncle" Wayne Daigrepont Starring:
DAVID JACOBS as Harry Douglas (The Ambassador)
JEFFREY MARTORELL as Perkins (The Butler) ELYSE MCDANIEL as Debbie (The Ambassador's daughter) JOE SEIBERT as Joe (the daughter's boyfriend)

STACY TALIANCICH RANDALL as Marion (The Ambassador's mistress)
MARYLEE GIBBONS as Faye (The Ambassador's klutzy secretary)

From the playwright and director of last year's smash hit "
Sex Please, We're Sixty", JPAS presents another hilarious farce.
When "Hormone" Harry Douglas, the new American Ambassador to Great Britain, tells his family he is going to Scotland to play golf, his wife and daughter announce weekend plans of their own. Their newly hired butler, Perkins, watches stoically as each leaves the Embassy and secretly returns for a romantic rendezvous in the empty house. Harry's secretary and Marine Corps Embassy Security then arrive in the wake of a bomb threat and the embassy is sealed off, with hilarious results. Even the imperturbable Perkins is drawn into the shenanigans.

One of the most popular Disney movies of all time is capturing hearts in a whole new way, as a practically perfect musical! Based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins delighted Broadway audiences for over 2,500 performances and received nominations for nine Olivier and seven TONY Awards, including Best Musical.
The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones she has a profound effect upon. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."
Featuring "Flying Effects" by ZFX Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM Sundays at 2:00 PM March 11 - 20 Jefferson Performing Arts Center 6400 Airline Drive Metairie, LA
