Hello, once again from the Conforti Institute. We have celebrated World Mission Sunday with joy and enthusiasm and now we look to November as a month of reflection. Autumn is now upon us and it calls us to remember those who have influenced our lives, but are no longer with us. It is also a month when the Patron of Scotland (Andrew) and co-patron (Margaret of Scotland) are celebrated. Once again taking us to the roots of our faith.

CAFOD
During November, the month of remembrance, we take the time to remember all those who have died, especially those who have made a deep and lasting impression on our lives.
Over the years, CAFOD, the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales and part of Caritas International, has been enormously blessed by the kindness and commitment of our supporters, but sadly many of the people who have been at the heart of our work are no longer with us. As a small token of our appreciation for their compassion and dedication, we will be holding memorial Masses in a number of dioceses across the country to pay tribute to these very special people. Join us.

Catholic school pupils' memory app wows technology judges
Young people are turning to the digital world when they feel down - but many also say social media is a source of anxiety for them and worry about negative responses when they share posts.
A group of schoolchildren have come up with an idea of combating this with an app that uses the concept of a "virtual memory jar" that allows users to create happy memories that they can re-visit at any time in the future to give themselves a boost. Discover more.
