JOY is the happiness we experience in moments of knowing. We know that the unchanged, unchanging, unchangeable life, love, substance, and intelligence are present and expressing at the point of us. We may or may not be consciously aware, but it is a moment of knowing that this Life, Love, and Intelligence IS us. Joy is the happiness of knowing Truth. I don't mean that our human intellect understands the mysteries of the universe - our human mind can know, and on some level does know, but frequently the ego-mind is way too wrapped up in, "Why...?" and "How come...?" and "Yeah, but..." to experience Joy. The human egoic mind thinks joy will arrive with the latest iPhone or the newer, better, bigger flat-screen TV.

Joy does not arrive from outside of us; it emerges from within, from the Mind of the Heart. We hear the words of a song, or we see a roadrunner standing on a busy street corner, or we notice the way a loved one ties their shoelaces, or we unexpectedly recognize the "stranger" in the car next to us as another expression of the Divine we are.

These moments may be fleeting, gone almost before we know what is happening, yet they linger in consciousness as reminders. Whatever may be happening in our human lives right now will fade away and be replaced by something else, but beneath all of that change, there is a constant Source of All Good.

Underneath the sometimes-chaotic circumstance of human life is the infinite Field of All-Possibility and Potential. Within each difficult human situation is the option of choosing Life, choosing Love, choosing abundance, choosing harmony or beauty or peace. These divine ideas - Divine Gifts - are always available to us and can never be used up or depleted.

In each moment of Joy, we are strengthened in our understanding and faith. No matter what drama may be playing on the surface of our human experience, we learn to "see" the availability of Infinite Good. No matter how difficult this particular moment may be, we are able to breathe, knowing that order, balance, kindness, and wisdom are ever-present. The omnipresence of That-Which-We-Call-God is our assurance that ALL is well and truly Good.

This week we focus on these joyful, joy-filled reminders. We honor our fully human Elder Brother Jesus. We celebrate his birth and allow this celebration to remind us of our own Christhood. We are thankful for the birth of renewed and ever-increasing awareness of the unchanged, unchanging, unchangeable Source of All-Good.

We celebrate the Divine Presence within ourselves and within the others with whom we share this earthly experience. We claim and allow ourselves to receive the true gifts of the season; Love, Patience, Kindness, Abundance, and so much more. We allow the free flow of Diving Ideas into our hearts and minds. We choose to express those ideas in ways which benefit us and benefit others.

May we each enjoy the abundant, ever-present gifts of the Christ within:

Faith, Peace, Love, and Joy.

Merry Christmas!

Namaskar-- the divine within me recognizes and honors the divine within you!
Blessings-- Nita
