Happy Spring! Even though it’s still cold the surging growth of spring is making its way into our calendar this month. We’re quite busy gearing up for performances at BAM in June but in the meantime we’ve got free performances in the studio --AMOK/LAVA April 6th and another one on the 27th when we’ll show work in progress for our shows at BAM, a new session of classes in the LAVA Studio beginning April 8th, and a very special offer to match every additional dollar that is donated toward our online auction goal! We’ll also be showing some new work at Food For Thought on April 12th. When you see the yellow buds and lime green leaves think of us standing on our hands to make this town a little more balanced and then come see a show, make a donation, or take a class with us.

LAVA is preparing for The Rocks at BAM June 5 to 9.
Our show has its name and our new pieces are well under way. The choreography is mostly
done and now we are thinking about costumes and design and lighting and audiences. We
performed some of our older work for pre-K through 2nd graders at PS 9 last week as part of Health and Wellness Week by
representing some of the amazing things that strong healthy women can do. The kids at
that school are still some of our favorite audiences.
