Dear Beloved LAVA Community,
The LAVA Studio weathered the storm with some minor leaks and bumps. We have resumed classes
again and are happy to be opening our doors to our Brooklyn neighbors--children and adults--many of whom are spending more time at home due to the aftermath of the storm and are grateful to get out of the house and come to us to work up a sweat and turn themselves upside down. The current reality in the city promotes us all to stay local and live local and we are happy to be a part of this neighborhood in the way that we have been since 2004. Many of us here at LAVA are doing our part to help clean up our flooded friends and provide space for stranded travelers and out-of-power-and-water friends and family. We hope that you will be able to make your way to us as you can and that we see you back at the studio soon.

Deep heart felt thanks to all of you who came out and supported us at our Serenade Benefit
on October 22nd. We all succeeded in generating a lot of good loving feelings, raising the
funds we set out to raise, and having a really really really great time. Now the company
can get down to rehearsing and creating the new work for our debut at the BAM Fisher Theater
in June, 2013.

Night of Renegades and Holiday Party on December 15th 8pm
Join us for Night of Renegades, our open performance night for anyone with anything to sing,
shout, flip, dance, or say in front of an audience. Performances will be followed by an end of
fall session holiday party – come hang out and mingle, drink, talk, dance, spend time together
before the winter break.
