Ahimbisibwe Fund

I know you read with sadness that the Rev. Israel Ahimbisibwe, his wife, Dorcus and their five-year-old son Jay were found  dead in their west Houston apartment. I hope you will continue your prayers for the remaining family and The Diocese of Texas. The Diocese of Texas has established a fund for the Ahimbisibwe family and I have donated $500.00 to it on your behalf.

This practical book looks at events and activities of everyday life and discovers routes to spiritual practice and deeper, daily spirituality. Rene Miller wrote the 20 reflections and grouped them into the categories Meditative Practice, Ministry Practice, Media Practice, Mind Practice, and Movement Practice. Each entry, accented with color photographs, is aimed at evoking mindfulness in the common activities of life, from music and movie going to reading, writing, and walking.

Campus Improvements

Want to be a part of one (or more) four projects we are undertaking to improve our ministries and the 518 campus? Each of these has a budget thanks to an anonymous donor. All we need are parishioners with an interest in any of these areas.

You will get to design and bring into reality four much needed improvements.

1.       Upgrade nursery to be the best in the area.

2.       Welcome guests like nobody else.

3.       Improve the comfort and atmosphere of the campus.

4.       Improve landscaping and exterior appeal.

Email me with the project that interests you.
