From the Library
I, on behalf of the Muirlands library, have a lot to be thankful for! I would like to express my heartfelt and tremendous appreciation for ALL of our great library volunteers, and the terrific team (Trish, Nina & Marcia) who brought them all together! This year was pretty dynamic, so I'm forever thankful for your assistance!
I would also like to thank the generosity of all who donated to the Library Tribute Fund - we acquired a subscription to Junior Library Guild, were able to buy many new and award winning fiction books, replace many of the 'worn' favorites, and supplement several nonfiction subjects with newer updated books for our student resources! The BOOKSHELF program, set up by the Trudeau's for the English classes, was also a tremendous and great success! Teachers were able to buy many books for their classroom libraries, including several sets for Literature circle.
Thank you all so much for your continued support and enthusiasm! You, along with our great students, make not only our library, but Muirlands such a wonderful learning environment! Have a fun and safe summer!
