Mr. Benjamin's Tomorrow (Wed.) 7:30-8:30pm, Auditorium
$1 Treats, Proceeds Benefit Muirlands Foundation
Mr. Benjamin's will take place this Wednesday 7:30-8:30pm in the auditorium. Water and treats are available for sale afterwards outside the doors. Items are $1, so send your child with dollar bills if they would like to purchase a treat. (Purchases are optional --all proceeds benefit the Muirlands Foundation.)

Muirlands Science Olympiad Club
Lunchtime Student Meeting this Thursday, Oct. 15th, Auditorium
We have 90 students signed up for Science Olympiads and are working out practice schedules with our volunteer coaches. We will email the details as soon as available -- Stay tuned! Students, please plan to attend our first lunchtime meeting on Thursday, October 15th in the Auditorium.
We're looking for someone to coordinate parent/coach/organizer communications, and can always use more coaches or mentors. It's not too late to volunteer!

Muirlands Middle School Parent Tours

Tours are intended for the parents of new students enrolling for the 2016-2017 school year. The tours will only be available to parents of incoming students. No children will be permitted to attend the tour. To help ensure a productive experience, tours will be capped at a total of 25 people.
There will be an opportunity for incoming students to tour Muirlands Middle School in May when the 5th grade classes visit. Please contact the Counseling Department to RSVP with Robin Dominguez at [email protected] or with Yvett McKany at [email protected]. Tours will run from 8:30-9:30 in the Library. Please check-in at the front office where you will be directed to the Library.

We Have Several Volunteer Openings - Can You Help?
Art: Help in the classroom/hanging artwork around school (no art background required!)
Science Olympiad: Help communication with parents/coaches/organization. Visit our Science Olympiad website for more details.
Muirlands Rocks Games Committee: Research/create new games and refresh existing games for this spring community event. Email [email protected].
6th and 7th Grade BBQ Coordinator: Help coordinate a few volunteers and serve bbq food for this on-campus event in December. Email [email protected].
8th Grade BBQ Team: Help coordinate a few volunteers and work with a few teachers to serve bbq and implement games for this annual 8th grade December event. Email [email protected].
8th Grade Promotion Planning Team: Work with a few administrators and volunteers to coordinate text for a printed program and some decorations for this important day. Email [email protected].
8th Grade Promotion Hospitality Team: We need 7th Grade parents to hand out programs and set up snacks so 8th grade parents can focus on this important family event. Email [email protected].

The LJHS Music Department Rummage sale is this weekend, October 17th and 18th, from 7am-1pm, Auditorium (in the lobby and in front of the building). We are asking for any and all donations!
