Friends,
March will bring warmth, spring, and the ever awaited International Women's Day. Join us for the Annual RJen Delivers Sunday when we share time, sweets, and stories with the ladies of our community.
March is also the month of Purim and as a special treat we invite you and the family to the Purim Spiel Shadow Puppet Theater & Carnival performed in both Russian and English, to be enjoyed by kids 2-10 ( and their parents ofcourse). After many years of sold out shows in Manhattan, this incredible show is coming to a beautiful Art Deco theater in north Brooklyn, just 1 train stop from the city.

The few of you who stepped up to play, will have more active roles. We look forward to seeing one and all.

International Women's Day
Rjeneration Delivers
Sunday, March 9th, 11 am
In the old country, International Women's Day (March 8th) was HUGE. It was Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, your anniversary, and your daughter's birthday...all rolled into one. If you were a guy, you had flowers for every woman, young and old, in your life. And it wasn't just Hallmark - it was a day that really stood out.Join us on Sunday, March 10th as we bring flowers, care packages and warmth to the homes of elderly Russian-speaking women in our community. We will meet up at 11:00am near the D train in Bensonhurst, where we'll make our first stop at a local senior citizen center before fanning out to make deliveries and spend some quality time with home-bound seniors. This is an amazing event for volunteers and seniors alike - don't miss the chance to make it happen!Registration is required. We ask participants to contribute $10/person, to cover the cost of flowers and small care packages and this year kindly ask that you register as far in advance as possible

About RJeneration
Born in the Soviet Union -- made in AmericaWe came to America as kids and teens, brought by our parents. Some were born enroute, and some were born here. We are a generation of Americans with a second culture and language, a Russian heritage, Jewish roots, and a defining immigrant experience. We've juggled our "hybrid" Russian-Jewish-American identity throughout our lives. Many of us went to the top high schools and colleges in the country. English is our primary language, but we still speak Russian. Runglish is also our style. We're Jewish, despite yeshiva traumas. We're in our 20's and 30's, busy building successful careers in every imaginable field. Some of us are already household names - Sergey Brin, Gary Shteyngart, David Bezmozgis, Lenny Krayzelberg, Mila Kunis, Regina Spektor. Many others are sure to follow and make their mark. The RJeneration community brings us together to network, make connections, explore the richness of our unique Russian-Jewish-American identity, showcase and celebrate RJeneration's rising stars, and engage in Russian and Jewish life all around us.For more information visit our website at: http://www.RJeneration.org
