School for Ministry

Register for Fall Classes Thinking about taking a class at our local theological training program? Now is the time to register. The fall schedule includes: Hebrew Bible II, Ethics, Church History and Anglicanism. Classes run from September 3 - December 3. Anyone can take classes for credit, or by auditing. Register

Help Kids Start the School Year Right 
The collective diocesan service project for summer is the Back 2 School Bash. Provide backpacks and school supplies for underserved youth. Distribution points this year include: St. Mark's, City Heights and St. John's, Fallbrook. For more information, visit the diocesan website

Ordination to the Priesthood All are invited and encouraged to attend the Rev. Mary Lynn Coulson's ordination to the priesthood on Saturday, September 24, 10 a.m. at St. Bartholomew's, 16275 Pomerado Rd., Poway. The Rev. Coulson, pictured above, is the new curate at St. Bartholomew's.

Daughters of the King Fall Assembly   
Saturday, September 24, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at St. Peter's, 334 14th St., Del Mar. Pat Van Gorder will speak on "The Best of Friends." All women are welcome to attend and hear this inspiring member of St. Peter's. She is an author, motivational speaker and leader in and beyond her congregation. Bring a salad or dessert to share. RSVP to Lynn Ballinger.

Convention will be here before you know it. The annual gathering of the church family will take place at St. Margaret's, 47-535 Highway 74, Palm Desert, CA 92260 on November 11 - 12. Nominations and resolutions are currently being accepted, as are servant ministry award nominations, exhibitor applications and registrations.
