Sock Mountain
Thank you! The delegates and visitors to Diocesan Convention donated almost 3,000 pairs of socks for people in need. When people received new socks, they looked as if they'd been given pure gold. Many thanks to all who donated and to the Diocesan Service Coalition for organizing the project. St. Bartholomew's, Poway took home the coveted golden sock award.

Holy Land Trip
Learn more about upcoming excursions to the Holy Land and to the Greek Isles. Operation Christmas Child Packing Party
All young adults are welcome to join the packing party for Operation Christmas Child (OCC). OCC delivers gift-filled shoeboxes to children all over the world. Bring toys, clothing, hygiene products, and school supplies to pack a gift box for a child in need. Refreshments will be provided. Young Women's Bible Study
Join other young women for an evening of study and fellowship. Location rotates among participants' homes. Second and fourth Thursdays, 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. If you're interested in starting a young men's Bible study, please contact Young Adult Missioner Becky Gleason.

Armed Forces Evensong
Armed Forces Evensong
The 23rd Annual Armed Forces Evensong remembers the service of military men and women who have sacrificed for our nation. It will be held Sunday, November 15 at 5 p.m. at St. Paul's Cathedral, 2728 Sixth Ave., San Diego. Come and be inspired by the special music and uniformed color guard. All are welcome. Bishop's Noonday Eucharist
Join Bishop Mathes in the Cathedral chapel for his noonday Eucharist. Usually he celebrates the Eucharist every third Wednesday at the Cathedral. All are welcome. Wednesday, November 18, 12 p.m. at St. Paul's Cathedral, 2728 Sixth Ave., San Diego, CA. 
Celebration of New Ministry in Yuma
All are welcome and encouraged to attend the celebration of new ministry at St. Paul's, 1550 14th Avenue, Yuma, Arizona on Wednesday, December 16 at 6 p.m. The Rev. Timothy True is the new rector. He and his wife, Holly, joined our diocese last year, along with their five children. 

Ordination to the Priesthood
The Rev. Monica Mainwaring will be ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, December 19 at 10 a.m. at Christ Church, 1114 Ninth St., Coronado. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. A festive reception will take place after the service in Hinde Hall. 

Anglican Roman Catholic Day of Dialogue
Anglican and Roman Catholic clergy members meet on Saturday, January 23, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. for a day of dialogue. The Rev. Simon Mainwaring, rector of St. Andrew's, Pacific Beach, will speak about The Call and the Journey: Invitation to Christ. Chris O'Donnell, director of catechetical ministry at San Rafael Catholic Parish, will also present on this theme. All Souls' Chrismas Home Tour
The 64th Annual All Souls' Christmas Home Tour is scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the beautiful community of Point Loma. This year's theme is "A View from Point Loma." Each home offers stunning views of the ocean or bay. In addition to the tour, there is a marketplace with unique crafts, a cafe, tours of the parish and an elegant tea. Proceeds support missions and ministries such as: Peninsula Shepherds Center, Episcopal Church Center, RefugeeNet, and many more. Celebrate the Virgen de Guadalupe with Our Latino Communities
Join the festivities at St. Paul's Cathedral on Sunday, December 12 at 6 p.m. where we will celebrate the Virgen de Guadalupe, the patron saint of Mexico with aztec dancing, mariachi, and some tasty food. Get Involved with Episcopal Community Services this Christmas
The holidays are just around the corner! Consider partnering with Episcopal Community Services (ECS) to brighten the Christmas season for the homeless adults they serve through their programs. Ways you can help include:
  • Donate Christmas decorations to liven up the Safe Havens or Friend to Friend program center.
  • Provide items for a meal, gift bags or activities for our Friend to Friend Christmas party on Tuesday, December 22, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. and join the party if you can!
  • Along with a small group of friends from your church, work, etc., provide lunch for 20-30 of ECS' program members at our monthly Life Celebration event on Friday, December 18.
  • Donate gift cards or other items for the Christmas gift bags for our Safe Haven clients.
