Bishop Kafity Dies
The Most Rev. Samir Kafity, retired bishop of the Diocese of Jerusalem and the Middle East, and bishop-in-residence at St. Bartholomew's, Poway, died Friday evening at home following a stroke. He was 81. Please keep his wife, Najat, daughters Samar and Rula, and extended family in your prayers. 

His wake will be Thursday, August 27, 6 p.m. and the funeral will be Friday, August 28 at 2 p.m. Both services will take place at St. Bartholomew's, 16275 Pomerado Rd., Poway, 92064. Clergy are invited to vest in cassock and surplice, white stoles for the funeral.

Mrs. Audrey Anderson Dies
Mrs. Audrey Anderson, wife of the Rev. Richard Anderson, died Friday morning following a stroke. Father Anderson is a retired priest and member of St. Paul's Cathedral, San Diego. Cards may be sent to: St. Paul's Manor, 2635 Second Avenue, Apt. 203, San Diego, CA 92103. A service for Audrey will take place on Saturday, August 29 at St. Paul's Cathedral with the Very Rev. James E. Carroll presiding and preaching.
