You are cordially invited for an information day about the diocesan School for Ministry (SFM) in Ocean Beach.

School for Ministry Information Day

This event will provide information about the diocesan School of Ministry and the ordination process. We will answer the following questions:
  • What is the School for Ministry?
  • What are the discernment and ordination processes for potential deacons and priests?
  • What is a class like? (Sample class will be taught)
  • What do current and past students think about their experience at SFM?
  • What does the SFM offer for those not interested in ordination?
Presenters include:
  • The Rt. Rev. James R. Mathes, bishop
  • The Rev. Dr. Mark Mann, dean of studies
  • The Rev. Gwynn Lynch, chair of the commission on ministry
