Last night, the Rev. Tom Bond died after being hospitalized for pneumonia. As many of you know, Tom was battling leukemia which weakened his immune system. Indeed, the strife is o'er; the battle done. 

 

Tom was the quintessential pastor as priest and navy chaplain. In retirement, he continued to bring Christ's healing love to so many. He will be missed.   

 

As we entrust Tom to God, I bid your prayers for his wife, Joan, and his family.  

 

Tom's funeral will be on the Feast of All Saints', Saturday, November 1 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's, 334 14th Street., Del Mar. Please carpool if possible as parking is limited.

 

Clergy will not vest or process.
