Latino Leaders Grant         August 20, 2014     I would like to share with you a unique opportunity and invite your participation. As you may know, our diocese was awarded a matching grant from the Episcopal Church to raise up Christian Latino leaders in the diocese and to raise awareness about Latino ministry in the Episcopal Church across our service region. Over the next twelve months and in partnership with the Consensus Organizing Center at San Diego State University, we will train 50 Latino leaders in the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego and develop an advocacy group. These leaders will then be charged with growing new Latino ministry initiatives across the diocese. It is time we begin to focus and strengthen our efforts to serve among and proclaim Christ's good news to the many Latino communities of this region.
