BUILD the SERVING CHURCH CAMPAIGN
Announcing The Carroll Center
In Honor of the Very Rev. James E. Carroll, dean emeritus

Just when we thought the capital campaign could not get any better, we're pleased to announce more exciting news. An anonymous donor has stepped forward and made the first major gift in honor of the Very Rev. James E. Carroll, dean emeritus of St. Paul's Cathedral, and the veritable grandfather of this diocese.

This gift launches a campaign initiative to raise $200,000, and as a result, to name the diocesan offices in Dean Carroll's honor. Once the goal has been reached, the new offices on the second floor of the Episcopal Church Center, 2083 Sunset Cliffs Blvd., will be named: The Carroll Center.

"Dean Carroll has dedicated his life to the church and served the vast majority of this ministry in our diocese," said the Rt. Rev. James R. Mathes, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego. "As the first dean, mentor to clergy, and this bishop, he is indeed a wise and revered elder of this community. Naming the staff suite at the Episcopal Church Center as the Carroll Center in his honor is a fitting tribute to this kind, generous, and faithful man."

Please join this particular opportunity to honor Dean Carroll and advance our Build the Serving Church Campaign. With your support, we will continue in daring to follow Jesus Christ in his life of fearless love for the world. Make a difference today. Build the Serving Church.
