Leadership Academy is coming right up this Saturday, March 15! We are excited about the breadth and depth of the workshops. It looks like we are going to have a record turnout for the event so register now!

In the finance and administration track, morning workshops will cover the basics of church finance/admin and human resource management. 

Afternoon workshops will focus on more specific topics and will include insurance, buildings and grounds, clergy and lay benefits, and church audits/parochial reports. While we welcome all-comers to the finance and admin workshops, I encourage you to make sure someone from your church is attending the Hispanic ministry workshop (How to Begin Hispanic Ministry) and the young adult ministry workshops (Attracting 30-and-40 Somethings to the Church). We recruited dynamic speakers from outside the diocese for both of these morning worships, so this may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity (you can hear me anytime!) Parochial Reports
Parochial reports are due Saturday, March 1. This year, please provide your 2013 financial statement (reconciling the financials with the parochial report) and 2014 budget with your parochial report. Reconciliation forms can be found on our website: edsd.org/parochialreports

New Form to Submit with Payments
For those of you who send payments to the diocese, you are probably tired of copying our ancient form that we ask you to use. At your prompting, we have refreshed the form! You can find it on the diocesan website. Let us know what you think.
 
Audits
Audits are not due until September 1 but now is the time to familiarize yourselves with the guidelines and the workbook that have been sent to you. Please note that the form in the workbook that asks you to identify your audit committee and tell us what type of audit you will conduct this year is due April 15.
