We're excited to welcome you to our 40th Annual Diocesan Convention in just a couple days. Here are some tidbits to help you have a smooth event experience. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Hannah Wilder, 619-200-5036, Bobbi Hoff, or Nancy Holland, 619-823-8998. 
  • Convention Information Available on your smartphone (including nominees, resolutions, workshops, ballot sheets, reports): edsd.org.

  • Hotel Parking: Day: $5. Overnight parking: $12. Be sure to validate your parking ticket in the lobby when you register or pick up your dinner tickets. No in-and-out privileges.
  • During peak times, a parking attendant will collect $5 as you arrive. People who pay in advance do not need validation.
  • Hotel Address: DoubleTree by Hilton, 7450 Hazard Center Dr., San Diego MAP (Not to be confused with the other DoubleTree in Mission Valley. Please come to Hazard Center!)
  • Bus Departure Times: On Friday, the bus will depart from the hotel at 8:30 a.m. On Saturday, the bus departs from the hotel at 8 a.m. For all bus-related questions, contact Kathy Wilder.
  • The Dedication of the Episcopal Church Center (2083 Sunset Cliffs Blvd., San Diego - Ocean Beach MAP) will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 21. Hospitality begins at 9 a.m. We strongly suggest taking the bus.
  • The Eucharist at St. Paul's Cathedral (2728 Sixth Ave., San Diego MAP) begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 22. Hospitality begins at 8 a.m. Arrive early for optimal parking and seating.
  • All singers are welcome to participate in the diocesan-wide choir. Contact Canon Martin Green to RSVP and for rehearsal information.
  • Please bring your congregation's banner and stand to convention. RSVP to the Rev. Canon Brooks Mason.   
  • Dinner Tables: Due to overwhelming response, we added more tables and renumbered them. Everyone who has registered to attend the dinner should check-in, beginning at 5 p.m. and pick up a new ticket and meal choice card. Convention attendees will receive their dinner tickets in their packets. 
  • The Friday reception begins at 5:30 p.m. on the tennis patio and in the Gallery. 
  • The doors open for dinner at 6:30 p.m.
