UPDATES on the BUILD the SERVING CHURCH CAMPAIGN
BSC

These past few weeks have been a busy time behind the scenes as we establish parish leadership teams, finalize event ideas and develop campaign materials. In two weeks we'll officially kick-off our campaign at the 40th Annual Diocesan Convention. In the spring and summer, we'll host parish mini-campaigns and gather for a couple of fun events. By the summer's end, the campaign will conclude with a celebratory gathering and a blessing of pledges.

As we embark on this journey, volunteer opportunities abound. We welcome your participation. You'll hear from us, we promise.

Finally, no project in this diocese can be undertaken without seeking the guidance and blessing of our Lord. Please join us in our campaign prayer:

Campaign Prayer
Lord God, We thank you for the many ways you have richly blessed and guided us since our founding as a diocese. We believe we have been called as part of your church to invite others into a deeper relationship with you. May we fulfill our calling with generous hearts, graciously giving back the gifts that you have bestowed upon us through your mercy. Be with us now as we conduct this capital campaign so that generations to come may continue to invite others, find peace and follow you in compassionate service, through our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

In Christ,
The Capital Campaign Executive Team

Campaign Kickoff
We've had such an overwhelming response to our capital campaign kickoff event that we regret to inform you that we are booked to capacity on Friday, February 21. The Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori's comments will be posted online by Saturday, February 22. Subscribe to the diocesan YouTube channel (click the red Subscribe button) to receive an email when it goes live.
Construction Continues
While the campaign kicks off, construction continues at the Episcopal Church Center in Ocean Beach. Jackhammers, routers and table saws can be heard from morning til night. We're working hard to bring you a functional, up-to-code diocesan center, home of the School for Ministry, the bishop's office and lifegiving services for all those in need.

Stay tuned for more construction updates. If you would like a tour, contact Nancy Holland, 619-823-8998.
