Photos Wanted

We would like to feature photos from your congregation during breaks in the Convention business session. Please send 5-10 of your best photos from your congregation to Hannah Wilder for inclusion in this colorful, engaging presentation.

Kitchen Love from Christ Church

The people of Christ Church, Coronado have generously agreed to fund the kitchen renovations at the Episcopal Church Center in Ocean Beach. These renovations will bring the building up to code and install important safety equipment that will enable the Center to feed more people in an efficient, safe, clean manner. Teaming up with Christ Church is a recipe for success. Thank you!

Afternoon Tea & Evensong
high tea
Sunday, November 10 -- Afternoon tea begins at 3 p.m. followed by Evensong sung by the St. Mary's in-the-Valley choir. We will celebrate the feast day of St. Cecilia, and as such, a delightful storyteller will bring her to life. All are welcome. For more information, or to RSVP, contact Canon Nancy Holland, 619-823-8998. Transportation to and from the Episcopal Church Center is available upon request.

If tea and Evensong is not your cup of tea (pun intended), join us on Saturday, November 9 for a hardhat tour and brown-bag lunch beginning at 8 a.m. Please RSVP to Canon Nancy Holland.

School for Ministry Classes Continue
SFM logo
The newest gem of the diocese - the School for Ministry - continues to hum right along. Students and instructors alike have been pleased with the learning environment, which is the sanctuary of the Episcopal Church Center, also known as Trinity Chapel.

"This is an electrifying, twenty-first century way to live into God's mission in the world," said the Rev. David Marshall, rector of St. John's, Chula Vista.

The school is one of the main accomplishments of the strategic mission plan of the diocese, approved in 2012. Those seeking holy orders, as well as auditors, make up the classes, while local talent comprise the faculty. For more information, visit the School's website: www.sfmedsd.org.
