Because the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego is dedicated to lifelong learning for all, everyone is welcome to register for classes at the new School for Ministry. Please note that the rigor of education is at a graduate level and priority is given to students preparing for ordination (postulants) when it comes to presentation time in class and faculty interaction. Auditors are welcome to sit in the class, take part in class discussions, and complete assignments if they wish (although only the postulants' work is assessed by the faculty).
All applications to audit classes are reviewed by the dean based on three criteria: current level of education, ability to enjoy group learning and respect the group process, and ability to commit to 14 Saturdays of classes.
The deadline for registrations for the fall semester is Friday, September 6. Classes begin on Saturday, September 7. It is not possible to join classes once the semester is in session. There will be a separate registration for the spring semester. Registration opens each semester four weeks prior to the start of classes.
