Beloved in Christ,

I write to share some distressing news: Suzanne Foucault, our interim transition ministry officer, long-time diocesan Mutual Ministry Review consultant, and wife of Deacon Bob Nelson has been diagnosed with colorectal cancer. While diagnostic work continues, Suzanne's treatment plan is evolving. She is scheduled to begin chemotherapy and radiation this week, followed by surgery in about three weeks. The need for further treatment will be determined at that point. The prognosis is good.

Suzanne and I have discussed her responsibilities and for the present time she will continue with some assistance from others who are now being identified. I encourage you to place Suzanne on your prayer list. Indeed, please keep Bob, their sons and daughters, and Suzanne's medical team in your prayers. Also, please balance your care for her and Bob with an understanding that they will need a certain amount of space to manage her care and healing.
Peace be with you and healing mercies for our dear sister.

Agape,
best jim
