Dear Fellow Clergymember, Our diocese is now in the quiet phase of the Build the Serving Church capital campaign. We're writing today to bring you up-to-date on campaign progress and to ask for your assistance in communicating the key elements of the campaign to your friends, colleagues and parishioners.
Please read through these materials, especially the elevator speech, as it lays out important information on the merits and benefits of the campaign. The elevator speech was designed only as a guide and we trust that you know how to make these words your own, which will be the most effective way to share with others the goals and aspirations for this campaign. We are planning an official kick-off at the 40th Annual Diocesan Convention on Friday, February 21 at the DoubleTree in Mission Valley where the amount of pledges made-to-date will be revealed! Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. After the kick-off, the campaign will be public, and we will work with you on a spring, post-convention effort in your congregation. The information here is simply meant to assist you in laying the groundwork for a spring endeavor. If you need more information, please contact Campaign Chair Mark DeMichele, omdemichele@me.net, 619-865-6095. Thank you for taking the time to help spread the word about the Build the Serving Church capital campaign. We appreciate you taking this on amidst so many other priorities. Sincerely,The Rev. Paige Blair, rector of St. Peter's, Del MarThe Rev. Andrew Green, rector of St. Paul in-the-Desert, Palm SpringsThe Rev. Edward Harrison, rector of Christ Church, CoronadoThe Rev. Canon Allisyn Thomas, sub-dean of St. Paul's Cathedral, San Diego
