DIOCESAN BRIEFS
Yearbooks for Seniors

As you may recall, high school yearbooks are a big deal. They capture favorite memories and contain friends' signatures forever. The people of St. Timothy's, Rancho Penasquitos inquired at the local high school and learned that many students go without yearbooks because they're considered non-essential and that these students feel ashamed as a result. The congregation raised $1,000 in two weeks and provided yearbooks for 11 students, who were bowled over by the gift. This is the start of school outreach at St. Timothy's. This fall they plan to hold a shoe campaign and later on to develop an annual fundraiser to support the new school outreach program.
