Fountain Square Players Present: The Trip to Bountiful

The Fountain Square Players present their latest show at the Phoenix Theatre this week. With showtimes Thursday-Sunday, audiences won't want to miss "The Trip to Bountiful." Trapped in a cramped apartment with her son and daughter-in-law, widow Carrie Watts longs to return to her beloved hometown of Bountiful one final time before she dies. Fearing that she's an imposition and chafing under her daughter-in-law's watchful eye, she steals away with her pension check, hops a bus, and heads home in the journey of a lifetime.

The artful counterpoint of Carrie's claustrophobic life and her unshakeable faith in her destiny result in an unforgettable, Tony Award-nominated play about home and its power to sustain us. Book the next bus to Bountiful! For more information, showtimes and tickets, please call 270-782-3119 or visit the website below.

Join your friends at the Boyce General Store for another session of Pickin' on the Patio this Saturday night. It's free summertime fun for the whole family. Enjoy delicious homemade treats and southern style cooking while listening to the local sounds of The Barbetta Band.

Boyce General Store is located off the beaten path where the Alvaton and Boyce communities meet. It gives a 19th century old-timey store vibe with a modern twist on food. For more information about the store and its events, please call 270-842-1900 or visit the website below.
