    Warm in Winter Music Festival

    Nashville songwriters and award-winning local musicians are coming together for the Warm in Winter Music Festival this weekend! Head to the Barn at Spongie Acres Bed & Breakfast on Saturday afternoon from 2 to 6pm to hear some great tunes from Dan Modlin, Les Kerr, Martha Christian, Willie Thomas Houston, Mark Whitley, Joey Hayes, John McCracken and others.

    The festival is a benefit for Hotel, Inc. and any blankets, socks, gently used coats and monetary donations will be used for the holiday season. For further information, please call 270-535-3368, email spongieacresbedandbreakfast@gmail.com or visit the website below.

    Checkered Flag Chase 5K and Walk

    This weekend is full of running activities in BG! While the annual bg26.2 Half Marathon runs on Sunday morning, a new 5k kicks off on Saturday evening at the NCM Motorsports Park. The Checkered Flag Chase 5K and Walk is a benefit for the Boys & Girls Club of Bowling Green hosted by the Bowling Green Area Lodging Association.

    In its inaugural year, this exciting race is filled with fun, entertainment and an evening with friends and family all benefiting a great cause. Registration is $35 per entry and includes a long-sleeve t-shirt. Take a look at this short video about the race. For more information, please visit the website below.
