Welcome to our "What's Happening" email, designed to provide you with a glance at opportunities for an unbridled good time in the Bowling Green area.

The 24th Annual U.S. Bank Balloons, Tunes and BBQ festival is coming up this weekend at the Bowling Green/Warren County Regional Airport! Fun for the whole family includes a carnival, an inflatable fair for the kids, BBQ to tempt the taste buds, a balloon glow and race and vendors.

Back this year is the community's "Bowling Green Idol" event on Friday night, which will lead off with a performance by Justin Rivers. More music entertainment is top-notch and features some of country music's best artists, including David Nail, Jana Kramer and The Farm on Saturday night. Tickets are $5/Thursday, $10/Friday and $20/Saturday at the gate. Net proceeds from the festival will be used by United Way to impact critical issues affecting those in need across the BRADD region including poverty, youth development, personal abuse, substance abuse, disabilities, senior services and literacy. Celebrating its 5th year, the Holley LS Fest comes to Beech Bend Raceway this weekend! It's a celebration of everything and anything powered by the incredible GM LS engine! Race cars, street rods, muscle cars, trucks, late models - everything powered by an LS will be there!

The LS Fest features all kinds of special events, like drag racing, autocross, the 3S challenge, engine swap, the drift challenge, dyno challenge, show-n-shine and more. Spectator pricing at the gate is $12/day or $25 for all three days. WKU students are $8. Children 16 and under, along with automotive students with valid IDs and proof of auto classes, are free.
