Welcome to our "What's Happening" email, designed to provide you with a glance at opportunities for an unbridled good time in the Bowling Green area.

Bowling Green's biggest event of the year is rolling into town this weekend--the 12th Holley National Hot Rod Reunion at Beech Bend Raceway. More than 30 thousand people will head to Bowling Green to check out the coolest custom hot rods and dragsters.

The reunion features a variety of activities, including Hot Heads Research & Racing quarter-mile nostalgia drag racing with some of the sport's most famous, historic cars and drivers racing in classes like Nostalgia Top Fuel, Funny Car, Fuel Altereds, Supercharged Gassers, Classic Super Stock, Hot Rods and others. Don't miss the sensational Cacklefest, a one-of-a-kind light and sound show made by the roaring engines of dozens of nitro-burning historic, front-engine dragsters and other classic race cars push-started and fired up on the dragstrip just like in the '50s and '60s. Fans will also see the impressive Axalta Coating Systems Show N Shine featuring hundreds of classic cars, hot rods and muscles. Witness the unveiling of the latest aircraft headed to Aviation Heritage Park this summer at the 2014 Aviation Heritage Park Hangar Party this Saturday night at the Bowling Green/Warren County Regional Airport. The newest plane heading to the park is a Northrop T-38 Talon flown by local Terry Wilcutt and a host of famed NASA astronauts.

Join the night of fun with a BBQ dinner, vintage aircraft and aerial displays and live music by Skip Bond and the Fugitives.
