    Spring is in the air! Take it in at the 15th Annual Herb Festival at the Wild Bird & Nature Store beginning April 24 and running through May 4 from 9am to 6pm daily. Find items to dress up your garden! Sit in on a couple of seminars to learn more about re-purposing your garden, cooking with herbs, making wreaths and more.

    Choose from herbs, perennials, antique and knock-out roses, fountains, bird baths, antique garden art and more.     16th Annual Southern Kentucky Book Fest

    Explore the world of reading at the 16th Annual Southern Kentucky Book Fest this weekend at the Carroll Knicely Conference Center. Selected a Top 10 Spring Event by the Kentucky Travel Industry Association, the book fest celebrates the love of reading at a Children's Day event on Friday and the main festival and signing day on Saturday, where the public gets the chance to meet their favorite authors.

    The featured author this year is Charlaine Harris, writer of Sookie Stackhouse fame, on which the television show TrueBlood is based. Admission to the book fest on Saturday is free.
