Bowling Green Gallery Hop
The galleries, museums and studio centers from around the city have gathered for the annual Bowling Green Gallery Hop. This Friday night is one of five nights a year that theses galleries open for the hop. Art enthusiasts and the newly inquisitive can check out the pieces created by local artists and find inspiration for their own creativity. Take this opportunity to observe, ask questions and enjoy getting acquainted with area artists and our city's gallery locations.
The galleries included on the hop are: Art Matters, Artistic Soul Studio, B & J Gallery, Candle Makers on the Square, Christ Episcopal Church, Ellis Walker Gallery, Gallery 916 in their new location, the Kentucky Museum, IWFAC, Ingen Art Gallery, The Pots Place Co-op, The Presbyterian Church, Pushin Building Artists Studio and SKyPAC's two galleries. For more information, including a list of other gallery hop dates, please visit the Bowling Green Gallery Hop Facebook page below.

Brain Freeze Bicycle Challenge
The Eat Up a Toe Foundation is hosting its second annual Brain Freeze Bicycle Challenge at Chaney's Dairy Barn on Saturday, August 10. This isn't an average bicycle race--it's got a frozen surprise in the mix. Bicyclists get the chance to eat as many scoops of Chaney's ice cream while racing and five minutes will be removed from their race time for every scoop eaten!
This event offers two races: a 20-mile race and 10-mile fun race. Registration begins at 7am, with the 20-mile race beginning at 8am and followed by the 10-mile race at 9:30am. Registration for the 20-mile race is $30 and the 10-mile is $20. For more details about The Eat Up a Toe non-profit, plus info on registration and the races, please visit the website below.
