    USA/ASA 10 & Under Girls Fastpitch National Championships

    Bowling Green is hosting the second largest softball tournament ever held in Kentucky this week. More than 45 girls fastpitch softball teams are participating in the USA Amateur Softball Association (ASA) Girls 10 & Under Fastpitch National Championships at Buchanon Park. Teams from across the nation are here, so let's show off some of our famous southern hospitality.

    Tournament play begins at Buchanon Park on Monday, July 29, and runs through Sunday, August 4. This year's tournament will also include a skills competition on Tuesday, July 30, which features categories of play, a cookout and special prizes.     National Soap Box Derby Rallies

    Join Bowling Green in hosting the National Soap Box Derby Championship Rallies happening all week at Phil Moore Park. This is a great event for the family to get in some recreation time and spectate a unique race. You can watch qualifying races running daily throughout the week, with the exception of Thursday.

    There will be an official ribbon cutting ceremony for the races on Tuesday, July 30 at 11:30am. The championship races will be held Saturday, August 3, starting at 7am. For a complete schedule of events and a link to the official National Derby Rallies website, please visit the link below.
