    Treadmilling for Sneakers

    Trax Running presents the Treadmilling for Sneakers event this Saturday at the BAC on Scottsville Road. Participants will have the chance to run a 5K or 10K on a treadmill at varied starting times from 8am to 4pm. All the proceeds go toward buying running shoes for the elementary school running clubs participating in the Kids Only Run on May 18.

    A $30 entry fee is required and includes a t-shirt. Male and female winners for both the 5K and 10K runs will be announced at 4:30pm after the last treadmill time and awarded prizes. BAC membership is not required to participate and registration is open to anyone age 13 and over. For more information, please visit the registration link below.

    Special Motor Sports Events

    Bowling Green will be hopping with motor sports enthusiasts of all types this weekend! Events will be held across town at several locations for automotive and motorcycle lovers. The Challenger Fest 4 will be Friday-Sunday with activities at Beech Bend Raceway and the Holiday Inn University Plaza. For details and an event schedule, click here.

    The 14th Annual Great Teddy Bear Run will Saturday morning--the rally will start at the Warren County Justice Center downtown at 11:15am and run through the city and ending at the Harley Davidson of Bowling Green around 12:15pm. Be on the lookout for bikers with teddy bears as passengers for this special event benefiting the Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center. Watch all the Harleys along for the ride!     The third event this weekend is the Vette City Motorcycle Expo happening at Sloan Convention Center Saturday and Sunday. Activities include a bike show, vendors, swap meet, tattoos and more! For details on the expo, visit its Facebook page here.
