    2012 AWMA Nationals

It's all about 'canine power' rather than horsepower this weekend in Bowling Green as the 2012 American Working Malinois Association Nationals comes to town. This 10th Anniversary event is hosted by Motor City Working Dogs and marks the starting event for the team selection that will compete and represent AWMA at the 2013 FMBB World Championship in Slovenia.

The American Working Malinois Association (AWMA) is a non-profit working dog club developed to promote and preserve the working Malinois as intended by its native country of origin, Belgium. Known as the Belgian Shepherd Dog with four distinct coat varieties, the AWMA is focusing on the development and implementation of the Malinois in accordance with the FCI standard. Vets 'n Vettes

The sports car that defines the American Dream is once again part of a celebration honoring those who defend that dream! The National Corvette Museum's 5th annual Vets 'n Vettes event takes place this weekend offering a number of new ways to enjoy camaraderie with others who have served. Featuring road tours, special displays, military-themed movies, participation in the BG Veterans Day Parade, a banquet, and more, this event's impact keeps getting bigger.

Thursday is dedicated to the American Warrior Recognition program where military personnel and their guests will be brought to the NCM by Fort Campbell and Fort Knox transportation to enjoy special tours, programs and rides in a Corvette! This event also attracts enthusiasts who have given their cars bold paint schemes to honor those who have served our country.

General registration for Vets 'n Vettes is only $10. For more information, visit the link below or call 800-53-VETTE.
