Chris Smith to be Featured Speaker at RECHARGE
Chris Smith, Chief Evangelist, Inman News, will join a group of leading technology experts scheduled for KCRAR's RECHARGE technology conference April 3.
Chris, who is an Internet marketing and social media consultant and co-founder of the Tech Savvy Agent blog, earned the title of Chief Paper Killer for dotloop in Sept. 2012. Registration for the event, which is available to members for $20, can be done by clicking this link. The event will be held at the KC Public Library, in Kansas City, Mo.

NAHREP Meeting and News Brief
In January, The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) Atlanta Director Teresa Palacios Smith (in red, below) met with Kansas City NAHREP chapter members to install new local chapter directors and officers and discuss strategic planning for the year. Teresa is Vice President of Business Development & Cultural Initiatives Prudential Georgia Realty in Atlanta, Ga.
NAHREP also shares the news that CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien will be the keynote luncheon speaker at the 2013 Housing Policy & Hispanic Lending Conference in Washington D.C. in March at the Four Seasons Hotel. Information about that conference can be found here.

Legislative Update
The Kansas and Missouri Government Affairs Committees held a 2013 Legislative Update Jan. 25. Among the issues of import being shared by the committees: The 2013 Kansas REALTOR® Legislative and Home Ownership Rally at the Kansas Capitol Feb. 13 to protect the mortgage interest deduction in Kan. and changes to the RPAC Major Investor program.
