Battling Kan. Gov. Brownback's Proposal

One legislative topic of special interest to KAR and KCRAR is the proposed elimination of the home mortgage interest deduction, as called for by Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback during a Jan. 16 announcement.

In response to this issue, KAR has scheduled a  REALTORŪ Legislative and Homeownership Rally at the Kansas Capitol Feb. 13. The website ProtectTheDeduction.com will also be reintroduced as a way to rally support to protect the mortgage interest rate deduction.

NAR's President's Cup Winners

The NAR's President's Cup is awarded annually to states that achieve all of their advocacy and RPAC goals for the year. In 2012, just 14 states earned the distinction - among those were both Missouri and Kansas. Pictured here: KCRAR's Lee McClelland, Jeff Carson and Steve Banks with 2012 KAR President John F.
