Deadline for Volunteers Extended!

Calling Members for a Pilot Program of SilverSunn's new video mixing software - Switcher Studio! This is your chance to test out Switcher Studio for free ($500 value) and report back to your fellow KBA Members!

What is Switcher Studio?

Switcher Studio is a tool for recording and broadcasting live video on the web created by SilverSunn (the same team that produces video at our annual KBA conference). You can create dynamic video with photos, graphic overlays, multi-view effects and more using just an iPhone or iPad. You can even add up to 3 additional cameras using other iOS devices and make edits in realtime. As a result, you have a finished product as soon as your event is over.

In addition, you can upload your video to YouTube afterwards or broadcast live video to a streaming service while the event is in progress for others to watch.

Many stations already cover events in their community. Why not setup a camera?

Switcher Studio is already being used to capture and stream video of athletics, local government, interviews, talk shows, press conferences, special events and more.

What will you be required to do?

The selected stations need to buy the equipment (an I-Pad), attend training with SilverSunn's staff, use the product at least once weekly and present their thoughts on the service to the KBA annual convention in October.  To be eligible the participating station must agree to attend training, purchase the equipment, use the service regularly and attend the annual conference to present their findings.

How do you get involved?

Email [email protected]  on or before July 9th stating your interest in participating. Five KBA member stations (chosen by random drawing if more than five stations respond) will be given an annual subscription paid for by KBA to test out Switcher Studio.

One-Hour, Live Online Webinar

Thursday, July 23, 2015

11:00 am Eastern/10:00 am Central

Presenter: Brandeis C. Hall, RAB's VP/Professional Development

Each year, millions of co-op dollars go unused because sellers don't know about it or don't know how to use it efficiently. While local retailers often bemoan a lack of advertising monies, there are thousands of manufacturers who will pay for all or part of your local retailers' advertising through co-op funding. Learn to prospect co-op-rich categories, access digital co-op and seasonal co-op-funded promotions, and the most common co-op mistakes to avoid as you get up to speed on co-op advertising.
