Hello,GREETING
As is Canadian tradition, we celebrated Thanksgiving on the second Monday of October. Did you know that the first Thanksgiving in North America actually took place 43 years before the Pilgrims reached Plymouth, right here in Canada? In 1578 explorer Martin Frobisher held a formal ceremony in what is now the province of Newfoundland and Labrador to give thanks for surviving his long journey and establishing a settlement in Canada.

Now in 2013 we are grateful to live in this country called Canada. We are grateful to live in this beautiful area of Ontario known as the Durham Region. Most of all we a grateful to all the wonderful people we are in contact with daily. Our clients know how much it means to us to see the look on their faces when we find them that perfect home or when we are able to tell them their house has been sold in less than a week. We would love to do that for you as well. Just give us a call.

Jewels and Gems

The Durham Region really is a jewel in the Ontario crown.  Located just minutes from Toronto, one of the busiest mega cities in North America, this area shines throughout the year, perhaps never so bright as in the fall.  Golden yellows, ruby reds, emerald greens, sapphire blue, topaz browns, amber oranges, amethyst purples ... they are all here in the Durham Region...To read more click here   Legends of the Fall

Halloween In The Durham Region Feature

Halloween can be one of those troublesome times. The kids may want to dress up and go door to door "Trick or Treating" themselves into sugar heaven. Parents may fear the uncertainty of the unknown street. It's good to know the Durham Region offers options that will satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth.

A quick call to the Durham Regional Police assured us that there will be extra officers patrolling the streets keeping an eye on the kiddies. This past weekend they hosted their annual "Halloween Haunt" for the kiddies. There were also "Halloween Spooktacular" events in Port Perry, at Cooper's Farm in Uxbridge and WindReach Farm in Whitby.

Probably the scariest place to visit is "Reapers Mansion". Not recommended for the very young or faint of heart.

On Halloween evening our very own Anna Stinson, Sales Representative and Stacee-Free Team member, will be helping out at the "Halloween Pit Stop" at the Southside Worship Centre in Ajax.

"This is our third year we have offered the "Pit Stop" on Halloween night.  It is often cold that night and if you are out with the kids going door to door this is a place you can come to get warm, use the restrooms and have a nice hot chocolate. If you prefer not to be going door to door the kids can still come in their costumes and have a bit of fun. There will be an airbounce, candy bags, balloon twisting and homemade treats. It's a wonderful way to give back to the community."

You know the "Trick or Treaters" will be out there. Be especially conscious if you are on the road. Stay safe and have fun.
