| Ontario Shores 2013-2014 Annual Report
Ontario Shores is happy to share its 2013-2014 Annual Report which celebrates a number of organizational accomplishments from the past year, while also highlighting the significant impact made by volunteers and staff on patients and their families.
The publication's fresh look is the perfect platform to share the recovery journeys of three patients who received care through our forensic, geriatric and adolescent programs. | Imagine Arts Festival Plans are already underway for this October's Imagine Arts Festival. This year's festival features a concert with Colin James and special guest Alan Cross at the Regent Theatre on October 17 and a screening of The Crash Reel and talk with American snowboarder and brain injury advocate Kevin Pearce at the Abilities Centre on October 2. A full listing of events will be unveiled shortly.

| Public Service Announcement Ontario Shores recently unveiled a 90 second PSA to raise the profile of the work we do and highlight the discovery, recovery and hope of the people we serve. Focusing on our specialty populations, the PSA looks to also reduce stigma and highlight the success that we see in our patients during their journey of recovery.

| Dr. Dawe Holds Mental Health Q and A on Social Media As part of National Mental Health Week, Dr. Ian Dawe, Physician-in-Chief at Ontario Shores, participated in a social media Q and A on Reddit. Questions were posed by members of the community through Twitter, Reddit and by email. The topics range from advice on parenting a child with anxiety to opinions on stigma and awareness of mental health issues.

| Mental Health First Aid
Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences will be hosting Mental Health First Aid training sessions throughout the year.
If you are interested in taking a Mental Health First Aid Course let please contact us regarding upcoming training sessions. If your organization is interested in valuable Mental Health First Aid Training for your staff, Ontario Shores can work with you to provide training at your location for a date that works for you. Interprofessional Grand Rounds Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences invites you to attend Interprofessional Grand Rounds. The medical talks, intended for healthcare professionals, are scheduled Thursdays 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Ontario Shores lecture theatre.
Fourth Wednesday of each month 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Family Council Event The Family Council hosts monthly meetings that are open to everyone in the community who have a loved one that has been affected by mental illness as well as family members, relatives, friends or significant others of current or former inpatients and outpatients of Ontario Shores.
Tuesday Evenings 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. AA Open Discussion Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meets in the Conference Place every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm. Ontario Shores patients and the general public are welcome.
